A fabric canopy that clips over part of the enclosure, giving a shaded corner inside the pen. Babies who nap in the pen use it; babies who only crawl in it mostly ignore it. Treat it as a nice extra rather than the reason to pay thirty dollars more than the seventy-one-inch model.
Three playpens here say "with Mat" and this one does not. That is deliberate on the listing, not an oversight. On a hardwood floor a mat is not optional at the crawling stage, so the real cost of this pen is higher than the sticker.
The handrails are built up and the corners are padded, which is the part that matters once a baby starts pulling to stand and using the top rail to get there. Corner joints are the usual failure point on fabric playpens.
